Our Latest Adventures

I used The Heart Rules book with my group of children with Autism this week and it started a discussion for them about emotions. They were able to recognise that they didn't like to feel certain feelings and actively tried not to feel them, this is a huge step. I have purchased a copy of the book as well so we can investigate and talk about emotions further. I hope to allow the children to take the book home so they can chat with their families too. Can you pass on my thanks for this book as the story has given the children ways to talk about and understand their emotions. It was also a good reminder for myself too.
